The location is walking distance from the Ala Moana Center, Ala Moana Beach Park, Waikiki and the main bus routes. The ocean view is a plus as well as the friendly staff at the Ala Moana Hotel. We received professional and efficient service from Hawaii 5-0 Vacation Rentals with special mahalo to Sheryll for her prompt assistance and to Kristin for delivering on our amenity request. A perfect getaway with wonderful service.

I was happy to find that the room was very quiet. Often with these downtown locations there is a lot of street noise. The location was also very convienient to get to and get out of as I was there for business and not pleasure and needed to make sales calls in the area. Having the shopping center nearby was a plus as well. Overall very satisfied and will stay here again.

Overall, our ala moana 1920 stay was satisfying... I visit Oahu frequently so we're not new to the area. We're here to visit our first grandson.
Positive: good ocean view, clean.
Negative: lack of kitchenette, small coffee maker, missing iron and ironing board, parking is expensive.

Generally loved it but I find $50 for a cursory vacuuming a bit steep.
ALong that line, I know that parking in Honolulu is at a premium but I do believe that people who are living at the property should not pay the same parking rate as people who are "just using" the garage

I would describe our experience as extremly enjoyable. We loved the location, it was convienent to everything if you don't mind walking a bit. The Mall was right next door so shoping was easy and the food court at the mall offered a varitey of foods from Asain to Itlian with several nice Resturants as well. The Bus was very close so traveling was made very easy. The only issue was the distance to Wakiki Beach and the traffic. We rented a car and a motorcycle which made seeing the Island much easier, we didn't want to leave. Great Hotel, Great Pepole In general and a wonderful climate. Who could ask for more!!!

The cleaning fee is outrageous 125 dollars for two nights is an insult.

Shopper's Paradise (worlds largest outdoor mall) but with other benefits as well.....
This hotel is clean,and the view is superb. Starbucks is located near by. The hotel staff is accommodating. The buses are close as well.
You are not as close to Waikiki beach but the walk is short.
It is quiet at night but if you want entertainment you can go to the open sky bar (walkway) near Macys.
