Ala Moana Hotel 807

Just a little short on toiletries - but otherwise just fine. It was a business trip and that unit lends itself to small conferences in the living space. Clients love being able to park at Ala Moana Shopping Center since parking in town is very expensive. The unit is on the end of the building so it was very quiet in spite of the fact that the hotel was at capacity. The only thing lacking is a restaurant open beyond the breakfast buffet. I've stayed there may times so I work around that but others may find it inconvenient to find casual dining other than the shopping center which is often crowded.

Excellent for shoppers, fantastic views from unit, I use a cane so transport was a problem. Hawaii 50 were very professional.

Uber Convenient!

We had a request for a late check out that was accommodated without any problems, and the reservations people were so polite and easy to work with. The only suggestion would be to have more blankets and towels stocked and provide little soap or shampoos which seem to be standard in so many hotels. But location and cleanliness far outweigh those, size was great as well , just a little larger for a longer stay making it more comfortable for the 4 of us.

Everything in the hotel was generally good except everytime we came home there was either a dead roach in the hallway or one crawling around the place.

This was our second stay in this apartment and hotel and we were just as happy as our first stay.
We love the location as we prefer to be closer to Ala Moana Beach Park and Ala Moana Shopping Center. We only walk into Waikiki a couple of times but enjoy the walk.
We look forward to returning soon.

Fantastic location, perfect for shopping and access to gorgeous Ala Moana Beach Park. Lanai needed to be cleaned but other than that, we were very happy and look forward to staying again one day.

This was my first trip to Honolulu and I was iffy about booking everything since this was the first big trip I've ever had to plan. I was familiar with trips in the states near by but this was something new. The process of booking the suite was easy and convenient. All the details are provided when you book the suite and they also sent you an email and text reminder prior to your arrival. The price was affordable and great for what's provided. The people at the hotel were very nice and helpful. Hawaii 5-0 also allowed us to check out late as requested. Overall experience was great. I intend to come back and book with Hawaii 5-0 again.

Four of us stayed at unit 807 in the Ala Moana Hotel. The room location was wonderful as it had a great view , the kitchen was sufficient for preparing simple breakfasts (we ate out most of the time) and the hotel location was perfect for touring or shopping at Ala Moana shopping center, which is connected by a walkway. Everything seemed to be perfect until we went to bed on the first night. The king bed in the bedroom was just fine, but the mattress on the sofa bed was very, very uncomfortable – thin, hard and lumpy.

We called the property manager the next day and requested roll away beds or a replacement sofa bed. The property manager mentioned that no one has ever complained before; otherwise they would have taken a pro-active approach. We learned that the Ala Moana hotel does not have rollaway beds, so we were given the option of switching to a studio or another one-room suite which had the same foot print and furniture as ours did; she noted that the sofa bed might be the same, though. We opted to stay in our room because we came up with the idea to add additional blankets and pillows on top of the mattress. We wanted to be reasonable and also there weren’t a lot of options available.

Unfortunately, on the second night, the sofa bed frame actually fell apart and my husband fell into the middle of the frame. If it wasn’t so unfortunate, the whole situation was almost laughable. We called the property manager the next morning and a maintenance person was sent in the afternoon to fix the frame. The following day, another maintenance person came by and delivered another mattress to put on top of our sofa bed mattress. Overall, the property managers did a good job of trying to rectify the situation. We applaud them for that. The unfortunate thing is that our sleep was terribly uncomfortable during the whole stay and with the added surprise of the frame falling apart, we really didn't feel rested during this vacation.

Excellent stay. Close to everything - especially Ala Moana Shopping Center. Hotel is great. Only comment is that the flat is perfect but needs a washing machine/dryer.

First time renting condo. Convenient location at Ala Moana Center. Nice end unit view of shopping center and ocean. Card keys stopped working - new cards from front desk did not work. Security let us in after call and delivered cards later. Parking lot very full on weekend night. Tub height higher than normal - could be hazardous. Sofa bed uncomfortable, used folding mattress instead.

We didn't realize until we were there that we weren't renting a hotel room but rather a condo from a private firm. Very awkward and not what we bargained for.

Loved the location, close to many things and a very nice view, though a lot of the view also overlooked the Ala Moana shopping mall parking lot. Very comfortable room. Pretty clean, except for the chairs around the table which looked and felt used. You do have to supply your own toiletries like soap and shampoo. Hawaii-50 were great to work with through Airbnb and allowed us to check-in three hours early. I would recommend staying here.

My overall experience was good. Good location, cleanliness, professional staff. A couple of minor improvements; bath/shower/facial soaps, lotion would've been helpful, and a wine bottle opener would've been convenient. Kitchen had everything else accept this. For a business traveler, sometimes these small things matter a whole lot. Otherwise, an overall good review.

The room was large and clean. The ocean-view with a little lanai made us very relaxing. Since we stayed 9 days, not having cleaning and towel/linen services were drawbacks. The mattress for the sofa-bed was very unpleasant since it was not able to support my body until the morning. It got flat after a while. Other than that, we enjoyed staying in this room.
